Art lessons to accompany units of study
throughout the school year. |
Getting Started
This book has a "new look." The step-by-step illustrations
and instructions show simply and clearly how each directed
art lesson is done. The Books to Read section suggests literature to introduce
or follow up the lessons. The Extending the Lesson section gives
activities to do to incorporate the lessons into other curriculum
areas. The 12 directed art lessons are arranged in order of difficulty,
starting with the very simple cut and paste lessons and introducing "new" cutting
skills with each additional lesson. The 12 lessons are: Rainbow
Squares, Lollipops, Caterpillar, Turtle, Ice Cream Sundae,
Tree, House, Penguin,
Kite, Dinosaur, Apple Core, and Teddy Bear.
